Happy International Women’s Day!

Happy International Women’s Day!

Thank you for celebrating International Women’s Day with us.

Today, we celebrate the achievements of women and girls around the world and recognize their contributions to society. We also acknowledge the challenges and barriers that many women still face in accessing healthcare, education, employment, and leadership opportunities.

On International Women’s Day, it is essential to recognize and celebrate the contributions of women in all fields. One such field that has seen a significant impact from women’s involvement is healthcare. By recognizing the important role of women in telemedicine, we can take steps to create a more equitable and diverse workforce that is better equipped to serve the needs of all patients, regardless of their gender identity or location.

PRAXES, a leading telemedicine company, is a great example of this. The women in PRAXES play an integral role in delivering high-quality healthcare services to patients worldwide. Their skills, knowledge, and dedication have helped PRAXES to provide timely and cost-effective healthcare solutions to patients across Canada and around the world.

We recognize their hard work and the role they play in making PRAXES the successful company it is today. Thank you to all the women of PRAXES for your contributions and for inspiring us all.

When women support each other, incredible things happen.”
-Viola Davis

An exemplary role model who inspired the acceptance of women in medicine.

Dr. Bette Stephenson (1924-2019), was a Canadian medical doctor and politician. She worked as a family physician for over 40 years and was involved in various community organizations. She was instrumental in developing policies that expanded access to education for adults, immigrants, people with disabilities, and rural communities. The life of Dr. Stephenson remains a model to women who have followed her in fields that had once been the sole domain of men.

We honour Dr. Stephenson’s legacy by providing telemedicine services that empower people to take charge of their health and wellness. We believe that everyone deserves access to quality care regardless of where they are.
