Refund and Cancellation Policy

Before scheduling an appointment

It is your responsibility to review the entry requirements for your travel destination, including the type of test required, along with figuring out the best date and time to have your test administered. You can check the following websites to help you plan correctly – or

We also encourage you to check with your specific airline carrier and destination consulate to confirm travel requirements.

PRAXES does not advise on, and does not take any responsibility for, any test timings and/or their associated outcomes, including (but not limited to) the effect on travel, business or personal plans.

We recommend NOT booking a COVID test appointment until your travel arrangements have been finalized and confirmed.


Rescheduling an appointment

Note that new appointment dates/times are subject to location availability.

DO NOT cancel your existing appointment and then create a new one unless absolutely necessary. We prefer that you reschedule it instead.

If your booking is scheduled at PRAXES Market Street (Halifax), Sydney Airport, or East Coast Mobile Medical (Dartmouth):

Warning: You cannot reschedule appointments that are within 72 hours of your booking date/time. For anything this close to your appointment, please phone us directly at 902-420-9725 during regular business hours. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to reschedule you because we may be fully booked, but we will do a best effort depending on availability.

Follow these steps to reschedule your appointment:

  1. Visit the PRAXES “My Bookings” page.
  2. Find your appointment, then click Reschedule.
  3. Choose a new date/time for your appointment.
  4. Save the new appointment date/time – we recommend that you also add a reminder in your calendar so that you don’t forget!

If your booking is scheduled at Rockdoc (Halifax):
  1. Please review the Rockdoc Terms of Use to ensure that you are eligible to reschedule – Rockdoc Terms of Use
  2. Go back to your appointment confirmation email and click on the button that says “Change Appointment” and then follow the steps.

Cancellation and Refunds

If you cancel your appointment and intend to book another one at a later date/time, your new appointment is subject to availability.

Refunds must be processed back to the original payment method that was used to pay for the appointment.

You cannot request a refund after a COVID test/swab has already been administered.

If your booking is scheduled at PRAXES Market Street (Halifax), Sydney Airport, or East Coast Mobile Medical (Dartmouth):

Warning: Refunds must adhere to the following restrictions:

  • If you cancel with less than 24 hours before your appointment date/time there are NO refunds.
  • If you cancel between 24-72 hours from your appointment date/time, then you are eligible for a refund, minus a $25 + HST late notice administrative fee. Any cancellations this late will need to be phoned in to our team to inform us during business hours – 902-420-9725.
  • If you cancel with greater than 72 hours from your appointment date/time, then you will receive a full refund (with no administrative fee charged).

Follow these steps to submit a refund and cancellation request:

  1. Complete and submit the Refund and Cancellation Request Form.
  2. The PRAXES Team will get back to you shortly with details regarding your cancellation and refund.
If your booking is scheduled at Rockdoc (Halifax):
  1. Your refund and cancellation request must adhere to Rockdoc Terms of Use.
  2. Please open the original confirmation email from your booking, and select the button that says “Cancel Appointment”, then follow the steps.

Appointment no shows

You acknowledge that you cancel your appointment and forfeit your paid amount entirely if you are later than 15 minutes for your appointment.

Warning: Do not use this form if your booking is with Rockdoc (Halifax). Please follow the instructions above for Rockdoc specifically.
